This is the last entry for Enkind for a while. It completes the story arc I have set out for it. The story came out to fifteen thousand words, I am going to set it aside for a few months and then come back to it, fleshing it out into a complete novel. I have a lot of ideas for different scenes to add in, and awkward parts to rewrite. When its done I think this will be the best story I have written yet. Stay tuned to my blog, I have many other stories I have been waiting to write. Next week we will start the story of Constance, a mage who lives alone in the mountain when he is forced to rescue refugees from the evil empire.

Enkind E10
Elementals crashed together, tossed about like rag dolls by that little slip of a girl and that underage boy. Eric Daniels surveyed the scene with a feverishness that bordered on mainia; how could they gather such skills and he had not heard of them? He leaned forward, intently studying the initiates as the elementals attacked, those two initiates …

Telmeth 8
Telmeth sat wearily at the edge of the clearing, listening to the gentle song of the fey mourning their dead. Each one lost was a dear friend who had been with them for hundreds of years. Telmeth wept with the emotions he felt sweeping through their links. Feeling like an interloper he left, deciding to …
Telmeth 7
Dawn was just rising over the mountains, deep reds and oranges washed over the mountain tinting everything in a golden glow. Few fey were up yet, they had been up late the night before cerebrating Telmeth’s healing. Telmeth had woken early to savor the last few hours of being linked to these amazing people. People! …
Telmeth 6
Telmeth woke slowly, feeling every brake and bruise in distinct detail as he fought his way to consciousness. He had trouble breathing, he must have broken several ribs. He sat up with great difficulty, pain shooting through him. His burns stretched and cracked the deep burn radiating through him. His lips were cracked and bleeding, …
